Installing DotNet35 in Windows 8 Release Preview

Microsoft has released its lates preview of its newest Operating System 8. I myself enjoy the Release Preview. However, as I went on installing apps in my newly installed OS (Windows 8 Release Preview) I began to discover that it would show up annoying screen asking for the installation of DOTNET35 windows features... I tried using Add/Remove Windows features from the Control Panel but nothing's good. So I end up working and studying in using Command Prompt. Here's how I did it: Please follow the following steps carefully: Step 1. Secure a copy of the Windows 8 Release Preview installation media. May it be in a DVD, USB Flash Drive or Virtual Drive. Step 2. Create “dotnetfx3″ folder in C drive. Step 3. Now open command prompt (make sure to run it as administrator) - Click here to learn how to run command prompt as admin. Step 4. Then, type and execute the following command line xcopy H:\sources\sxs\*.* c:\dotnetfx3/s here: H is DVD drive/USB Drive or Virtual Drive It takes some times for all files to be copied so you need to be patient. Step 5. After all files are copied, type and execute following command line Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:c:\net35 /LimitAccess IMPORTANT: Make sure to add SPACE before the Backward Slashes ( / ) but not between c:\ Step 6: Wait until it says: Enabling feature [=================================100%=============================] The operation completed successfully. That's it! You may install you fav apps now!
